About Katy
Since I was young, I’ve called myself a personist. It’s not something you’ll find in the dictionary, but to me, it captures something important: a deep curiosity and care for people—their stories, their context, their wounds, and their hopes. Being a personist means seeing you fully and honestly—where you’ve been, who you are, and where you’re headed—without judgment or pretense.
My mission as a therapist is to create a space where you can show up as your full, unfiltered self. A space to better understand your patterns, reconnect with the parts of you that may feel lost, and move toward the life you want to live.
Outside the therapy room, I’m many things: a mom to two silly toddlers and a red lab, a wife, a girls’ girl, and a proud moon enthusiast.
Experience
I earned my MA in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and my BA in Marketing from Elon University’s School of Business. I’ve worked in both higher levels of care and outpatient settings, supporting individuals across a range of life stages and experiences.
Before becoming a therapist, I spent 10 years in the corporate world as a manager—an experience that continues to shape how I support women navigating ambition, burnout, and the complexity of “doing it all.”
